This is a graduate level journal club covering the current literature on topics on the methodologies and the applications and discoveries of the biophysical techniques of crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy. Each week a student or faculty member selects and then presents a current research paper. This paper is then electronically posted for all members of the journal club to read at least one week prior to the presentation. This encourages all members of the journal club to read and be able to critical discussed the contents of the paper in depth. All students and participants are strongly encouraged to take part in the discussions. Special emphasis is given to current developments, data interpretation and critical analysis. The class takes the form of a small group discussion lead by the presenter. |
