Introduction:
BCH 6415 will cover advanced topics in DNA replication, repair, recombination, and gene regulation. Coverage of topics will be limited, methodology will not be taught, and emphasis will be on the interpretation of recent literature in the field. Prerequisites will be either BCH 5413 or GMS 6001. BCH 6415 is not recommended for first year students who have not had a graduate level course in molecular biology. Students without such preparation should take BCH 5413 first.
